Yowza!

How 'bout that West Coast ass-whippin'? Sheezus, that stung - it's almost enough to make me glad I zoned out about the time Ashlee Simpson trotted her overhyped, undertalented keister onto a stage that seemed better suited for the Olympic opening ceremonies than a college football game. That and apparently, Kelly Clarkson is soliciting eyeliner tips from Billie Joe Armstrong. An odd, disappointing game to say the least - but hey, now we've got spring training to look forward to, right?
I'd also like to add that I was baffled by U2's new video, particularly since I thought the second single off their terrific new album, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," was gonna be something else entirely ("Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own," for the curious). But aside from that confusion, when precisely did U2 become reckless corporate whores? Is Bono girding his 401K for early retirement to the south of France or something? First aligning with Apple, now shilling (however obliquely) for SBC during the Orange (Disem) Bowl (ing) ... one has to wonder if the aforementioned scenario is the case or the boys from Dublin knew "HTDAAB" wouldn't fly off the shelves. Things that make one go, "Hmmm..."
